Seamless Guttering
Seamless gutters are the most popular type of guttering on the market today. Previously sectional gutter systems were formed and sold in various shorter sizes or sections that were joined together on location with snap together connectors and also had seperate end caps, corners and drop outlets for downspouts. With all those sections, connectors and seams there was always potential for leaks developing. Continuous gutters or seamless guttering then came along and could be fashioned into longer sections with a seamless gutter machine, eliminating or minimizing the seams between sections. Seamless gutters still require corner miters, end caps and downspout gutter outlets so there are still joints and seams to be either soldered or caulked to prevent leakage. Seamless gutters properly installed may present less problems with leakage than the older style sectional gutters and they will look better too with less seams showing in longer lengths of guttering.
